LATIN RITES

Josep Vicent, new chief conductor of the Argovia Philharmonic, in Switzerland

Following previous collaborations with the group, Spanish conductor Josep Vicent has been appointed as the new principal conductor of the Argovia Philharmonic in Switzerland, for an initial four-year term as principal and artistic director.

Josep Vicent: "The Argovia Philharmonic and I have shared beautiful programs over the past few months, and I personally felt a strong connection with the orchestra. We have a lot in common artistically, and I'm very excited about future plans to build even stronger ties with audiences in Switzerland and beyond. And I must say, I fell in love with Aarau from the very first moment. More importantly, I am deeply grateful and appreciative of the trust and support of the orchestra's musicians and management. It's truly exciting!" Platea Magazine.

This month, conductor Josep Vicent graces the cover of RITMO Magazine, where he offers an interesting interview about his project leading the ADDA Simfònica Alicante, an orchestra that will make his debut at Ibermúsica in an extraordinary concert on December 11th alongside the Orfeón Donostiarra.
